Luskentyre

Started work at 4 am today with a 295 mile,6 hour drive to catch a ship to the Outer Hebrides. First of all we had to drive to Skye, then across the Island to the port of Uig. Unfortunately on arrival, the ship was stormbound. Hopefully the weather will improve and our team can get away. Our return tickets have already been pre-booked by our client, so any delays to the schedule will see us working dayshift/nightshift to complete the project. To give you an idea of where we are, in January 2000, Ben Fogle was introduced to the British Audience on the documentary called Castaways. This was filmed on the Island of Taransay.

This project sees me repeating my grandfathers steps as his Electrical Company was responsible for carrying out maintenance  for the MOD for 5 years on the rocket firing ranges located in Benbecula.
